BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 18

Tamilla Mammadova – Trend:

Georgian AG Telekom, which is located in Rustavi, may start producing devices that prevent landslides, Trend reports via Georgian media.

The company produced TVs in 2016-2018, then it expanded the scope of its activities and began to produce new devices.

According to the head of AG Telekom, Mikheil Glonti, the project will be implemented within the financial assistance of the World Bank.

"The device was created locally, by Georgian engineers. There is a similar device on the local market today, but this new device, in particular, will offer more in terms of reliability," he said.

He also mentioned that this device will be exported.

The World Bank was one of the first international development institutions to extend support to Georgia in its fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

The World Bank has also collaborated with the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) to provide an additional US$100 million under a joint co-finance arrangement.
