Some $107 million worth of goods were exported from Georgia from January through February 2021, which is $1.4 million less than in 2020, Trend reports via the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).
Overall, EU holds the 21.7 percent of Georgia's exports.
According to the Geostat, Georgia's largest exports to the EU are copper ores and concentrates, which reach $50.4 million, although almost half of these goods are re-exports. The second-largest export in the EU is nuts. From January through February, 1,600 tons of nuts worth $10 million were exported from Georgia to the EU.
Rating of Georgia's largest export goods to the EU (goods whose exports exceed $1 million):
Copper ores and concentrates - $50.4 million, 25,100 tons;
Nuts and walnuts - $10.2 million, 1,600 tons;
Fertilizers Mineral or Chemical, Nitrogen - $4.9 million, 29,000 tons;
Ethyl, non-denatured, alcoholic beverages - $3.2 million; 1,000 tons;
Grape natural wines - $3.2 million, 1,000 tons;
Mineral and freshwaters - $3 million, 4,600 tons;
Wood material, and other - $2.9 million, 1,100 tons;
Leftovers and scrap of precious metals or precious metal cladding - $2.8 million;
Cars - $1.6 million;
Ferroalloys - $1.3 million, 1,500 tons;
Mixed goods - $1.3 million;
Fruits and other parts of plants, otherwise made or preserved - $1.3 million; 200 tons;
Rubber pneumatic springs and tires - $1.3 million; 300 tons;
Fruit and vegetable juices - $1.1 million, 1,000 tons.
