The export of gold from Azerbaijan in monetary terms amounted to $34.4 million from January through February 2021, which is by 26 percent more than in the same period of last year, Trend reports on March 31 with reference to the monthly Export Review.
Azerbaijan exported gold worth $24.7 million in February 2021, which is 2.2 times more than in the same period of last year.
In general, the volume of Azerbaijan's export from January through February 2021 amounted to $2.8 billion, the oil sector accounted for $331.3 million.
The export volume of leading state-owned companies in the non-oil sector amounted to $139.9 million from January through February 2021, which is 46.4 percent more than in the same period of last year.
