The circle of Turkish investors in Georgia will expand, said the Beka Odisharia, the Сhairman of Diaspora and Caucasus Issues Committee, Trend reports via Georgian media.
He made the remark at the meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to Georgia Fatma Seren Yazgan.
The parties discussed cooperation between the friendship groups of the parliaments of the two countries and the issues of attracting additional Turkish investments to Georgia.
According to Odisharia, the first meeting was planned with the Ambassador, where the members of the friendship group will meet with all the major Turkish investors who are present in the Georgian market in order to expand the circle of investors among them.
“Turkish investments are one of the most important components of the development of our country's economy. It is in this direction that I see great prospects, because Turkey is one of the regional leaders, including with its own economy, at the same time, the country is our strategic partner. We are planning a visit of our parliamentarians to Istanbul,” Odisharia said.
