Azerbaijan's export of fruits and vegetables has exceeded $66 million since the beginning of 2021, which is more than in the same period of last year, Head of the Azerbaijan Association of Producers and Exporters of Fruits and Vegetables Bashir Guliyev told Trend.
“The export increased by 6.4 percent on an annualized basis,” Guliyev added.
The head of the association said that tomatoes, hazelnuts and apples were mainly exported during the reporting period.
"Russia and Belarus remain the main importers of fruits and vegetables grown in Azerbaijan," Guliyev said.
The Azerbaijani Association of Producers and Exporters of Fruits and Vegetables was established on September 16, 2016 to coordinate the activity of entrepreneurs involved in the production and export of fruits and vegetables, expand cooperation between them, increase production and expand the country's export opportunities.
