Buy/sell operations at Iran Mercantile Exchange revealed

A total of 740,000 tons of goods worth more than 119 trillion rials (about $2.84 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) in the last Iranian week (April 17 through April 22, 2021), Trend reports citing the IME’s official website.

However, 1.01 million tons of goods worth more than 104 trillion rials (about $2.49 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) in the preceding week (April 10 through April 15, 2021).

According to the report, about 379,000 tons of goods worth about 70.9 trillion rials (about $1.69 billion) were sold in the industrial and mining products section of IME last week.

"So, 371,000 tons of steel, 4,560 tons of copper, 2,070 tons of aluminum, 120 tons of molybdenum concentrate, 200 tons of coke and 20 kg gold bars were sold in this section," the report said.

In addition, more than 361,000 tons of various oil and petrochemical products worth about 48.4 trillion rials (about $1.15 billion) were sold in the oil and petrochemical products section of IME last Iranian week, the report said.

According to the report, 82,500 tons of vacuum bottom, 121,000 tons of bitumen, 75,500 tons of polymeric substances, 44,900 tons of chemicals, 24,000 tons of lube cut, 5,210 tons of base oil, 110 tons of argon, 7,520 tons of sulfur were sold in this section.

Furthermore, 954 tons of various products worth 203 billion rials (about $4.83 million) were sold in the submarket section of the exchange.
