Azerbaijan’s import of goods from Germany decreased by 34 percent from January through March 2021 up to $185.02 million compared to the same period of last year, Trend reports with reference to the statistics bulletin of the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee.
Azerbaijan's import of goods from Germany from January through March 2021 amounted to $137.7 million.
During the reporting period, the share of Germany in the total import volume of Azerbaijan amounted to 7.3 percent (5.2 percent from January through March 2020).
The export volume from Azerbaijan to Germany amounted to $44.1 million from January through March 2021, while a year earlier - $96.5 billion.
Thus, the share of Germany in the total export volume of Azerbaijan decreased from 2.2 percent to 1.07 percent.
The trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Germany in the reporting period amounted to $229.1 million, which is by 2.2 percent less than from January through March 2020.
Thus, the balance of foreign trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Germany ($140.9 million) remained positive in the reporting period.
