The copper cathode production of the National Iranian Copper Industries Company (NICICO) increased by 7 percent during the first two months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through May 21, 2021), compared to the plan, an official of the NICICO Sad Abdi said, Trend reports citing the company’s website.
Abdi said that the company produced 50,000 tons of copper cathode in two months.
He added that the company also produced about 217,000 tons of copper concentrate over the reporting period, which is an increase of 5 percent, compared to the plan.
The official stressed that moreover, the company produced 52,400 tons of raw copper in two months. This is an increase of 5 percent, compared to the production plan.
According to Abdi, copper anode production of the NICICO increased by 5 percent compared to the plan. So, the company produced 62,300 tons of copper anode copper in two months.
"In addition, the National Iranian Copper Industries Company extracted about 35.3 million tons of copper in two months. This is an increase of 12 percent compared to the plan," he said.
The official noted that the company produced 141 tons of precious metals in two months. This is an increase of 23 percent compared to the plan.
