The value of gold exports from Azerbaijan has grown in the first 4 months of 2021, Trend reports referring to the monthly ‘Export Review’ of the Azerbaijani Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC).
According to the review, this indicator rose by 47.8 percent compared to the same period of 2020, making up $64.6 million.
In April 2021, Azerbaijan exported gold worth $21.2 million, which is almost 3 times more on monthly basis, the review said.
Totally, Azerbaijan's exports from January through April 2021 amounted to $6.4 billion, including oil exports worth $697 million.
Meanwhile, Azerbaijan's GDP decreased by 0.2 percent compared to 4M2020, standing at 25.08 billion manat ($14.75 billion). At the same time, value added in the oil and gas sector shrank by 8.4 percent, and in the non-oil sector increased by 4.1 percent.
