More than 10 tons of caviar is harvested annually at 140 fish farms in Iran, Iranian Minister of Agriculture Jihad Kazem Khavazi said, Trend reports citing IRNA.

He made the remark in an online event dedicated to the launch of agricultural facilities in Iran today on June 3.

The minister noted that at the same time, 21,800 hectares of greenhouses were put into operation in Iran by the end of last Iranian year. While at the beginning of last Iranian year, the area of greenhouses in Iran was about 8,000 hectares.
