Iran consumed about 4.64 million tons of raw steel during the first two months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through May 21, 2021), Trend reports citing the Iranian Steel Producers Association (ISPA).
According to the statistics, this is an increase of 5 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.
"So, 4.44 million tons of raw steel was consumed in Iran in the same period of last Iranian year," the statistics said.
Furthermore, more than 3.18 million tons of steel products were consumed in Iran within the two months, which is an increase of 3 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year, the statistics said.

According to the statistics, Iran consumed 5.47 million tons of sponge iron over the first two months of the current Iranian year. This is a decrease of 1 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year. So, 5.53 million tons of sponge iron were consumed in Iran in the same period last Iranian year.
