Georgia shares data on main export products to Russia

Georgian National Statistics Office (Geostat) revealed data on main export products to Russia from January through May 2021, Trend reports via the Geostat.

Georgia exported 16,947 tons of wine to Russia for a total amount of $50.4 million from January through May 2021, which is 1,877 tons more compared to the same period last year, Trend reports referring to the Georgian National Statistics Office (Geostat).

In the reporting period, Georgia exported 43,822 tons of ferroalloys worth $44.5 million to Russia. Over the same period last year, 45,422 tons of ferroalloys totaling $45.3 million were exported from Georgia to Russia.

Meanwhile, 43,688 tons of natural, mineral and aerated waters worth $24.6 million were exported from Georgia to Russia.

During the reporting period, Georgia exported 2,968 tons of alcoholic beverages in the amount of $13.09 million to Russia. In the reporting period of 2020, the export of alcoholic beverages from Georgia to Russia amounted to 2,255 tons, totaling $12.2 million.

Georgia exported 14,720 tons of water, mineral and aerated waters, containing added sugar to Russia in a total amount of $13.09 million in the reporting period.

From January through May 2021, the foreign trade turnover between Georgia and Russia exceeded $598.7 million, which comprises 11.9 percent of the total trade turnover of Georgia.

During the reporting period, Georgia exported products worth $205.3 million to the Russian market, which is 13.3 percent of total exports.

Meanwhile, Russian exported products worth $393.4 million to the Georgian market, which is 11.3 percent of total imports to Georgia.
