Iran continues to resume operations of several enterprises in industrial parks

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 30

The activities of 238 enterprises were restored in the industrial parks of Iran from the beginning of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2021) to June 28, Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade and Head of Iran Small Industries and Industrial Parks Organization (ISIPO), Ali Rasoulian said in a press conference, Trend reports citing IRNA.

According to the chairman, 3,400 people were provided with jobs as a result of the restoration of enterprises.

Rasoulian added that the activities of 1,600 enterprises are estimated to be restored in the current Iranian year (from March 21, 2021, through March 20, 2020).

“In general, the activities of about 1,560 enterprises were restored over the last Iranian year (from March 20, 2020, through March 20, 2021). This is an increase of 9 percent compared to the preceding Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 through March 19, 2020),” he said.

The deputy minister noted that 56.9 percent of restored enterprises had liquidity problems, 3.7 percent - disagreements with partners, 2.6 percent - lack of raw materials, 16.2 percent - lack of market, 1.5 percent - lack of equipment supplying.

As reported, there are 823 industrial parks in Iran. About 46,800 industrial enterprises operate in these industrial parks and more than 941,000 people work there.
