The exports from the Bushehr Province (southern Iran) increased by 77 percent in terms of value and 13 percent in terms of volume during the first three months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through June 21, 2021), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Customs Inspector of Bushehr Province Behrouz Gharabeigi said, Trend reports citing Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).
Gharabeigi said that 6.47 million tons of goods worth $2.1 billion were exported through the customs of Bushehr Province within the mentioned period.
The official added that excluding gas condensate, the province exports amounted to 6.43 million tons worth $2.08 billion.
“Also, 5.4 million tons of petrochemical products worth $2.02 billion were exported through the province's customs,” he said.
In addition, 5 million tons of goods worth $1.92 billion were exported through customs in the Pars Special Economic Energy Zone (PSEEZ) over the 3 months. The exports through the customs increased by 79 percent in terms of value and 20 percent in terms of volume, compared to the same period last Iranian year, Gharabeigi noted.
The customs inspector emphasized that 5.4 million tons of petrochemical products, 41,000 tons of industrial products, 895,000 tons of mining products and 138 tons of handicrafts were exported in the 3 months.
