The Georgian Innovation and Technology Agency (GITA) and the Catapult global venture capital platform signed a memorandum of mutual cooperation, Trend reports with reference to the Georgian media.
According to the memorandum, the venture fund will enter the Georgian market. The document was signed by GITA Chairman Avtandil Kasradze and Catapult founder and managing partner Jonathan Tower.
This document opens up new opportunities for Georgian startups to attract new investments and enter world markets.
The Georgian Innovation and Technology Agency was established under the Ministry of Economy in 2014. Its goal is to promote an entrepreneurial and innovative environment.
Catapult is a global venture capital firm with assets in various regions that invests in the best startups from the fast-growing technology ecosystems outside of Silicon Valley and helps these companies reach global scale.
