Export Price Index up in Georgia

The Export Price Index (XPI) increased by 0.1 percent in July 2021 compared to the previous month in Georgia, Trend reports with reference to the report of the National Statistical Office of Georgia.

There was a 0.4 percent increase in the prices for manufactured products.

Compared to July 2020 the XPI increased by 9.9 percent. In the mentioned period prices decreased for products from mining and quarrying by 12.6 percent.

Along with this, the prices for manufactured products increased by 11.2 percent, while for products from the water supply, sewerage, waste management and remediation services by 61.1 percent.

The Import Price Index (MPI) decreased by 1.7 percent over the previous month, while compared to July 2020 the index increased by 21.9 percent.

Compared to July 2020 the prices were 21.9 percent higher for manufactured products. For products from mining and quarrying a price increase of 18.5 percent was registered, while for electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning prices decreased by 18.6 percent. With regard to water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation services, the prices were 17.9 percent higher.
