Turkmen enterprise exceeds plan for salt production

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 23

Turkmen Guwlyduz enterprise produced 56,146 tons of salt from January through July of 2021, exceeding the production plan by 3 percent, Trend reports with reference to Business Turkmenistan information portal.

The plan for the production of granular salt was exceeded by 5.3 percent also from January through July 2021.

Also, during the reporting period, the company delivered about 11,300 tons of iodized food salt to the country's retail outlets.

As reported, at Balkan region of Turkmenistan, the Guwlyduz enterprise commissioned a workshop with a capacity of 40,000 tons of iodized food salt and 2,500 tons of granulated technical salt per year, the raw material base for which is Duz Lake ("Salt"), which is located on the Caspian coast and is the country's largest salt deposit.

The new workshop has equipment from the European company EKOSOLT.

The feasibility study of the project of an industrial plant for the production of food salt at the Guwlyduz enterprise was prepared by employees of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan.
