Uzbekistan’s BMB Zafaron brand exported saffron products worth 1.1 million euros to Italy on August 26, 2021, Trend reports citing Uzbek media.
Earlier it was reported that in June of this year BMB Trade Group and the Italian "Gesfarm & Food" company signed an agreement on the supply of saffron to Italy for a total of 15 million euros.
According to this agreement, the first batch of the product was sent to Europe on July 29 of this year.
The company seeks to promote Uzbekistan as one of the most advanced countries in the field of saffron production.
Thus, the company continues to demonstrate its potential in the country by expanding the area under saffron sowing, increasing the processing volumes of this medicinal plant, creating new permanent and seasonal jobs and producing export-oriented products.
Meanwhile, in foreign countries, interest in high-quality BMB Zafaron products is growing.
