IRICA shares data on Iran’s trade turnover with Turkey

Iran's trade turnover with Turkey amounted to about 6.38 million tons worth $1.84 billion in the 6th month of the current Iranian year (August 23 through September 22, 2021), the Spokesman for the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) Rouhollah Latifi said, Trend reports citing the administration.

The spokesman emphasized that Iran exported 5.84 million tons of goods worth $1.2 billion to Turkey in the 6th month, which is an increase of 553 percent in terms of value and 1,510 percent in terms of volume compared to the 5th month (July 23 through August 22).

“In addition, Iran’s exports to Turkey for the sixth month of the current Iranian year, increased by 696 percent in terms of value and 1,420 percent in terms of volume, compared to the same period last Iranian year. Turkey ranked first among the countries Iran exports goods in 6th month,” he added.

Latifi also noted that Iran imported 540,000 tons of goods worth $641 million from Turkey during the reporting period.

The imports increased by 76 percent in terms of value and 73 percent in terms of volume, compared to the 5th month.

As reported, Iran exported 7.2 million tons of goods worth $2.3 billion to Turkey and imported 2.1 million tons of goods worth $2.4 billion from Turkey during the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through September 22, 2021).
