Iran exported 1.26 tons of caviar worth $539,000 during the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through September 22, 2021), the Spokesman for the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) Rouhollah Latifi said, Trend reports citing the administration.
According to Latifi, Iranian caviar was exported to 23 countries. So, Iran exported 410 kg of caviar to UAE, 231 kg to the UK, 82 kg to Portugal and 76 kg to Japan in 6 months.
The official also added that Iran exported 2.28 tons of caviar worth $1.08 million over last Iranian year (March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021).
"With last Iranian year, Iran exported 560 kg of caviar to the UAE, 220 kg to Germany, 202 kg to Japan, 201 kg to Belgium and 199 kg to Spain," he said.
The spokesman noted that Iran also exported 175 kg of caviar to Russia, 163 kg to the UK, 125 kg to the Netherlands, 67 kg to Hong Kong, 49 kg to Kuwait, 46 kg to Taiwan, 45 kg to Singapore, 34 kg to Australia, 33 kg to Oman, 31 kg to Italy, 30 kg to Venezuela and 28 kg to Switzerland, 26 kg to Qatar, 20 kg to Canada, 13 kg to Thailand, 6 kg to South Korea, 5 kg to Nigeria, 3 kg to Cambodia and 1 kg to Sweden.
