Iran signed a memorandum of understanding to expand cooperation with Mali in the mining sector, Trend reports citing IRNA.
The Iranian Mining Engineering Organization (IMEO) and Mali's Chamber of Mines have signed a memorandum of understanding, in order to boost mining cooperation.
The Chairman of IMEO Taghi Nabaiee made the remarks in a meeting with Abdoulaye Pona, president of Mali's Chamber of Mines.
Referring to the capacities of the IMEO, he says that the body had the potential to cooperate in the field of exploration, extraction, and processing of minerals, exchanging university professors and students as well as investment packages.
The Chairman of Mali's Mining Chamber Abdoulaye Pona for his part said that the country was fully ready to expand mining cooperation with Iran.
Both sides agreed to exchange the knowledge and experience of their members through arranging mineral visits, seminars, webinars, and exhibitions between Iran and Mali.
