Iran`s Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade Reza Reza Fatemi Amin said the domestic car manufacturers have the capacity of producing three million cars a year by 2025, Trend reports citing IRNA.
Fatemi Amin went on to say that the capacities of all 10 domestic automakers have been reviewed.
The two large vehicle manufacturing companies, namely Iran Khodro and Saipa, have an average share of 90 percent of domestic vehicle production.
He said the share of these two companies will decrease to 70 percent by 2025.
“In other words, the share of other domestic automakers will increase from 10 to 30 percent,” he said.
