TEHRAN, Iran, May 9. Secretary of the Supreme Council of Iran's Free Trade, Industrial and Special Economic Zones announced the allocation of 5.5 billion euros for the infrastructure of seven free zones, Trend reports citing Fars News Agency.
Saeed Mohammad made the remarks at the inauguration ceremony of the head of Mehran Free Trade-Industrial town, Nooruddin Rahimi.
The new free-trade zone in Mehran border city of Ilam Province is expected to benefit the regional and national economy. The government will make its efforts to approve the rules and regulations of the Mehran Free Zone within a month.
According to the official, Iranian authorities approved establishing seven free-trade zones last year.
