TEHRAN, Iran, June 8. Iran is to increase trade with Turkey via West Azerbaijan Province, said the Governor of West Azerbaijan Province Mohammad Sadegh Motamedian, Trend reports citing IRNA.
"Iranian government's priority is to improve trade via borders and West Azerbaijan Province is one of the main provinces in this regard," he said.
He pointed out that Iran has targeted $30 billion in trade with Turkey, and West Azerbaijan Province is the only railway route connected to Turkey with the highest number of export terminals and customs checkpoints.
According to the official, the government's priority is to organize border markets and trade with neighboring countries.
