BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 28. China is taking steps to increase imports of products from Kyrgyzstan, Trend reports citing the Kyrgyz government.
This issue was discussed during the 15th meeting of the intergovernmental Kyrgyz-Chinese commission on trade and economic cooperation via videoconference.
Co-chairman of Chinese commission, Deputy Minister of Commerce of China Wang Shouwen noted that his country attaches great importance to implementation of projects related to the construction of Bypass Chui Canal, China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway, and the rehabilitation of roads in the capital of Kyrgyzstan - Bishkek.
Shouwen also emphasized that China makes efforts to increase the supply of products from Kyrgyzstan to the Chinese market, including agricultural products.
The sides noted the progressive development of investment cooperation between two countries and expressed their intention to take steps to implement the planned projects, implementation of which was affected by coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic and related quarantine measures.
