TEHRAN, Iran, August 15. Iranian automakers are designing new products to improve innovation and export, said the Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Manouchehr Manteghi, Trend reports IRNA.
Automakers started designing new products from July 2022 that would last by July 2024, he said adding that the private companies are interested to join the auto industry.
According to the Deputy Minister, Iran Khodro and SAIPA have launched four platforms and the private sector has unveiled three platforms for auto production that would be displayed at the upcoming auto expo, the New Era of Iran Auto Industry Exhibition.
The official has pointed out that Iran has an annual production capacity of 3 million vehicles and by reaching this target the finished price of cars will be reduced.
The New Era of Iran Auto Industry Exhibition is to be held on August 22-30 in Tehran.
