BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 24. The Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan Business Council will play a crucial role in terms of rapprochement between the entrepreneurs of the two countries, the acting head of the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO) Yusif Abdullayev told Trend.
According to Abdullayev, as a result of the first meeting of the council held on August 24, serious shifts are expected in trade and economic cooperation between the countries.
"Today Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan signed a number of agreements and memorandums on cooperation in various sectors," he said.
The agency's acting head noted that another important role of the council will be the provision of information to both the Azerbaijani and the Kazakh sides.
"This information includes investment, export-import projects in order to develop trade turnover and investment opportunities. Of course, there are projects which should be developed. Therefore, we hope that the number of companies included in the council will only grow," added Abdullayev.
