BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 12. The value of Iran's trade turnover with the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) amounted to $1.33 billion, during the first five months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through August 22, 2022), Director General of Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), Alireza Moghaddasi said, Trend reports citing the administration.

This is an increase of 30 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year, Moghaddasi said.

The director general also added that Iran exported $522 million worth of non-oil products to the EAEU member states in 5 months, which is an increase of 15 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.

According to him, Iran exported $291 million worth of non-oil products to Russia, about $61.2 million worth to Kazakhstan, $18.4 million worth to Kyrgyzstan, $7.18 million worth to Belarus and $144 million worth to the remaining member countries for the reporting period.

“At the same time, Iran imported $804 million worth of goods from the EAEU member states within five months. Imports increased by 43 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year,” the official noted.

Moghaddasi also pointed out that Iran imported $715 million worth of goods from Russia, $78.4 million worth from Kazakhstan, $3.88 million worth from Belarus, $2.71 million worth from Kyrgyzstan and $3.8 million worth from remaining member countries in 5 months.
