BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 19. The value of Iran’s non-oil exports from Zanjan Province (western Iran), increased by 33 percent during the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through September 22, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, the Director-General of Zanjan Province Customs Office, Zenyolabedin Ganj Khanloo said, Trend reports citing Mehr News Agency.

He made the remark at the meeting dedicated to the development of the province's exports on October 18.

The director general said that in total, $304 million worth of non-oil products were exported from the province in 6 months.

Ganj Khanloo added that about 78 percent of total non-oil exports from the province for the reporting period were accounted for zinc ingots.

“About 66 percent of the province's products were exported to Türkiye, 11 percent to Iraq, 7 percent to the UAE, and 16 percent to other countries,” he noted.

According to the official, at the same time, $237 million worth of goods were imported to the province in 6 months, which is an increase of 46 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.

He also pointed out that he main imported goods were timber, paper, tobacco, etc.
