Iran’s tires production increases

BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 14. Iran’s tires production increased by 3 percent during the first seven months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through October 22, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, as was reflected in the statistics of Iran's Tire Industry Association, Trend reports.

In overall, 14,177,370 tires were produced in Iran within 7 months. Meanwhile, this figure stood at 13,801,438 units in the same period last Iranian year.

Over 7 months, 12,538,289 tires for passenger cars were produced in Iran, which is 5 percent more than in the same period last Iranian year. So, the figure amounted to 11,961,979 units in the same period last Iranian year.

At the same time, 896,639 pick-up tires were produced in the country in 7 months, which is a decrease of 11 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.

Whereas, in the same period last Iranian year, pick-up tires production in Iran amounted to 1,009,085 units.

Furthermore, 435,784 truck and bus tires were produced in the country during the reporting period, which is a decrease of 13 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year. Thus, 500,493 trucks and bus tires were produced in Iran in the same period last Iranian year.

Meanwhile, 286,908 tires for agricultural machines were produced in Iran in 7 months. This is 5 percent less than in the same period last Iranian year (302,385 units).

In addition, 19,705 tires for industrial machines and other vehicles were produced in Iran, which is a decrease of 28 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year (27,496 units).
