BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 11. The value of Iran’s non-oil exports from Gilan Province in the north of the country, increased by 28 percent, during the first eight months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through November 21, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Chairman of the Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of Gilan Province Teymour Pour Heydari said, Trend reports citing the organization’s website.
“Within 8 months, $480 million worth of non-oil products were exported from Iran’s Gilan Province, while in the same period last Iranian year, the figure stood at $394 million,” he said
According to Pour Heydari, the main exported goods were polymer products, textile products, clothing, footwear and household appliances.
In total, Iran exported 70.4 million tons of non-oil products worth about $32.4 billion, during the first eight months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through November 21, 2022), which is an increase of 4.44 percent in value, while a decrease of approximately 16 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.
