Iran continues to resume activity of inactive industrial enterprises countrywide

BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 6. The activity of 1,194 manufacturing and industrial enterprises was resumed in Iran from the beginning of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022) to February 6, 2023, Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran and Head of Iran Small Industries and Industrial Parks Organization (ISIPO), Ali Rasoulian said at a press conference in Tehran on February 6, Trend reports citing Mehr News Agency.

“Of the mentioned enterprises, 924 are located in the country’s industrial parks, while 270 are outside the industrial parks,” the deputy minister noted.

Rasoulian added that in addition, the capacity of 1,074 enterprises that production potential is below 50 percent has been increased.

The official also pointed out that 2,166 new manufacturing and industrial enterprises were put into use in Iran within the mentioned period. A total of 33,000 people were provided with jobs as a result of the launch of these enterprises.

According to Rasoulian, 730 new production workshops were put into operation in the country during the reporting period.

As reported, there are 823 industrial parks in Iran. About 46,800 industrial enterprises operate in these industrial parks and more than 941,000 people work there.
