BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 1. The export of non-oil products from Gonabad County of Iran’s Razavi Khorasan Province in the north-east of the country, increased by 10 percent in value and 11 percent in volume, over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023), compared to the preceding year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022), Director of Industry, Mine and Trade Department of Gonabad County, Hadi Iyzadi told IRNA, Trend reports.
The director said that overall, 7,700 tons of non-oil products worth about $6.6 million were exported from Gonabad County for the last Iranian year.
Iyzadi added that the main exported non-oil products were heat-resistant bricks, porcelain dishes, dairy products, polypropylene bags, saffron, pistachio, etc.
“The mentioned goods were exported to 17 countries,” he noted.
There are 172 industrial enterprises operating in Iran’s Gonabad Country. More than 3,280 people work in those enterprises.
In total, Iran exported over 111 million tons of non-oil products worth $48.8 billion within the first 11 months of the last Iranian year (March 21, 2022, through February 19, 2023).
This is an increase of 12.2 percent in value, while a decrease of 1 percent in volume compared to the same period in the preceding Iranian year.
