Iran Khodro Company sees growth in annual auto manufacturing

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 12. Auto manufacturing of Iran Khodro Industrial Group (IKCO), increased by 37.7 percent, over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023), compared to the preceding year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022),Trend reports citing the company’s website.

In total, Iran Khodro Company manufactured a total of 630,736 various vehicles (including passenger cars, pick-ups, trucks and trailers, vans, buses and minibuses) in the last Iranian year, while the figure stood at 458,785 in the preceding Iranian year.

Meanwhile, about 1.35 million various vehicles, including passenger cars, pick-ups, heavy trucks and trailers, vans, buses and minibuses, etc. were manufactured in Iran during last Iranian year - an increase of 39 percent compared to about 971,000 in preceding Iranian year.

There are three giant car manufacturing companies - Iran Khodro, Saipa, and Pars Khodro, operating in Iran. By implementing various projects, Iran intends to increase manufacturing in the auto industry.
