BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 29. Overall, 268 tons of goods worth approximately $3.52 million were imported through the customs of Iran’s Kermanshah Province for the first two months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through May 21, 2023), an official of the Kermanshah Province Customs Office Ali Asghar Abbaszadeh said, Trend reports.
According to him, the imports through the province’s customs for the reporting period increased by 30 percent in value, while decreasing by 89 percent in volume compared to the same period in the last Iranian year.
Abbaszadeh added that the main imported goods were various kinds of equipment, including, diesel generators, catalysts, etc.
There are 2 border checkpoints and 5 border markets in Kermanshah Province of Iran.
In total, Iran imported 1.83 million tons of goods worth $3.08 billion for the 1st month of the current Iranian year (March 21 through April 20, 2023). The imports decreased by 13 percent in value and 24.8 percent in volume compared to the same month in the last year.
Meanwhile in the last Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023), 7,890 tons of goods worth $55.9 million were imported through the province's customs.
This is a decrease of 16 percent in value and 69 percent in volume compared to the preceding year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022).
