BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 6. Iran’s non-oil exports through customs of Isfahan Province, increased by 38 percent in value and 1 percent in volume, during the first two months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through May 21, 2023), compared to the same period in the last year, Director General for Isfahan Province Customs Office, Rasoul Kuhestani said, Trend reports.
The director general noted that in total, 280,000 tons of non-oil products worth approximately $249 million were exported through the customs of the province for 2 months.
“The main exported goods via the province’s customs for the reporting period were iron and steel worth $127 million, petrochemicals worth $31 million, dairy products worth $20 million, cast iron worth $16 million, and carpets worth $12 million,” he added.
According to Kuhestani, the non-oil products worth $87 million were exported to Iraq, $57 million to Pakistan, $24 million to Türkiye, $16 million to Afghanistan, and $15 million to the UAE.
The customs official also pointed out that the goods worth about $149 million were exported via the Isfahan border checkpoint, $41 million via the customs in the territory of the Esfahan Steel Company, $37 million via the Kashan border checkpoint, $21 million via the customs in the territory of the Mobarakeh Steel Company and $1 million via the customs of Shahid Beheshti Airport.
Overall, Iran exported 21 million tons of non-oil products worth $7.51 billion within the first two months of the current Iranian year. This is an increase of 12.3 percent in value, while a decrease of 13.7 percent in volume compared to the same period in the last Iranian year.
