BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 12. A total of 650,000 tons of non-oil products worth $340 million were exported through the customs of Iran’s East Azerbaijan Province in the north-west of the country, during the first three months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through June 21, 2023), Customs Inspector of Iran's East Azerbaijan Province Leili Orangi said, Trend reports.

According to Orangi, iron, steel, rubber materials, fruit, copper, glass, agricultural products, etc. were the main exported goods via the province’s customs in 3 months.

The official added that the mentioned goods were exported to 73 countries, mainly to Türkiye worth $97 million, Iraq worth $77 million, Bulgaria worth $17 million, Georgia worth $12 million, Azerbaijan worth $12 million, Afghanistan $10 million, Pakistan worth $ 9 million, Russia worth $8 million, and the UAE worth $8 million.

Overall, Iran exported 35.5 million tons of non-oil products worth $12.5 billion within the first three months of the current Iranian year.

This is a decrease of 8.84 percent in value and an increase of 24.4 percent in volume compared to the same period last year.
