BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 5. Iran exported about 45.8 million tons of non-oil products worth $15.9 billion, during the first 4 months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through July 22, 2023), Trend reports.
As indicated in the statistics of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), Iran's non-oil exports for the reporting period decreased by 7.97 percent in value, while increasing by 28.6 percent in volume compared to the same period in the last year.
Within 4 months, Iran mainly exported natural gas worth $1.63 billion, liquid propane worth $1.14 billion, liquid butane worth $823 million, bitumen worth $689 million and methanol worth $665 million.
Iran exported goods worth $4.64 billion to China, $2.93 billion to Iraq, $2 billion dollars to Türkiye, $1.78 billion to the UAE and $624 million to India over the mentioned period.
Meanwhile, the value of Iran's non-oil trade turnover totaled over $35.4 billion in 4 months.
Iran's non-oil exports exclude only crude oil, mazut, and white oil. Due to sanctions imposed by the US and Western countries, Iran cannot freely export the mentioned products. That’s why it attaches importance to the export of non-oil products.
