Iran’s non-oil exports to Kazakhstan grows in value despite lower volume

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 15. Iran exported 157,000 tons of non-oil products worth approximately $56.2 million to Kazakhstan during the first four months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through July 22, 2023), Trend reports.

As indicated in the report of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), non-oil exports increased by 13.8 percent in value while decreasing by 24 percent in volume compared to the same period last year.

Meanwhile, in the same period last year, Iran’s non-oil exports to Kazakhstan stood at 207,000 tons, worth approximately $49.4 million.

Iran mainly exported agricultural and food products, tobacco products, petrochemical products, etc. to Kazakhstan in 4 months.

Alone in the 4th month of the current Iranian year (June 22 through July 22, 2023), Iran exported 43,000 tons of non-oil products worth $11,7 million to Kazakhstan.

Overall, Iran exported about 45.8 million tons of non-oil products worth $15.9 billion within the first 4 months of the current Iranian year.

This is a decrease of 7.97 percent in value and an increase of 28.6 percent in volume compared to the same period last year.
