Iran observes substantial growth in non-oil exports to Uzbekistan

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 16. Iran's non-oil exports to Uzbekistan increased by 58.7 percent in value and 58.8 percent in volume, during the first four months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through July 22, 2023), compared to the same period last year, Trend reports.

As reflected in the report of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), Iran exported 161,000 tons of non-oil products worth approximately $104 million to Uzbekistan within 4 months.

Meanwhile, Iran’s non-oil exports to Uzbekistan stood at around 102,000 tons worth $65.5 million in the same period last Iranian year.

In the 4th month of the current Iranian year alone (June 22 through July 22, 2023), Iran exported 40,600 tons of goods worth $23.9 million to Uzbekistan.

Within 4 months, Iran mainly exported milk and dairy products, petrochemical products, various types of pipes, glassware, agricultural equipment, etc. to Uzbekistan.

Overall, Iran exported about 45.8 million tons of non-oil products worth $15.9 billion within the first 4 months of the current Iranian year.

This is a decrease of 7.97 percent in value and an increase of 28.6 percent in volume compared to the same period last year.
