BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 10. The monetary base in Azerbaijan amounted to 20.875 billion manat as of December 30, 2023, which is 19.56 percent or 3.414 billion manat more than the indicator of the same period of 2022, Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) told Trend.
According to CBA figures, the monetary base hit 17.46 billion manats for the 2022 reporting period.
The monetary base indicator as of December 30 last year (which includes cash and free banking, commercial banks' needed reserves in circulation), outperformed the indicator as of November 30, 2023 by 13.86 percent, or 2.54 billion manat.
