BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 30. Iran’s Kurdistan Province, located in the west of the country, had a trade turnover of $4.65 billion, weighing 3.55 million tons, in the first 10 months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2023 through January 20, 2024), said Faramarz Omidi, an official of the province’s customs office, Trend reports.
Omidi said that the province exported 1.34 million tons and imported 90,000 tons of goods via its customs in the specified period. The rest of the goods were transited through the province’s customs.
The official added that the province’s customs office was working to improve its services for businessmen by making the customs clearance process faster and easier.
He also noted that the regional customs had modern equipment that enabled quicker exports of products.
According to the latest data from the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), Iran's foreign trade turnover totaled $126 billion in 10 months, representing an increase of 2.41 percent from the same period last year.
