BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 25. Serbia has created conditions for increasing the inflow of foreign investments and is ready to encourage Azerbaijani entrepreneurs to implement projects in Serbia, State Secretary of the Serbian Ministry of Economy Andrea Horvat said, Trend reports.
He made the remark at the 8th session of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Serbia, held in Baku.
“Now we have several programs of assistance for entrepreneurs. These programs provide support for purchasing equipment and opening a new business. We offer these programs for Azerbaijani investors, for example, in the fields of food production, industrial automation and innovation, hotel business, and the and the development of the technology sector,” Horvat noted.
According to her, investment projects involving foreign and Serbian companies are extremely important for the development of the economy and the improvement of the business environment in Serbia.
To note, the mutual investments of Azerbaijan and Serbia are extremely small, and so far oil and gas have prevailed in the trade turnover.
