Azerbaijan has gathered 1,930,000 tons of grain crops from the 98% of sown area so far, Murtuzali Hajiyev, the head of the Information Center of the Agriculture Ministry.
According to Hajiyev, the work will be completed in 10 days. 62 new agriculture techniques are involved in the harvesting. Hajiyev noted that 3900 combines with 269 new ones worked at the fields.
Touching upon the production forecast for the whole 2005, the head of the center said this figure was 2,250,000 tons grain and 150,000 tons corn.
