Average statutory capital of Azeri banks grow up to 27.9bn manats

On the results of November 2005 average statutory capital of the Azerbaijani banks grew from 27.3bn manats to 27.9bn manats against 23.9bn manats as of early 2005 and normative demand at $3.5m. Over November branch network of banks expanded 0.27%.

As of 1 December 43 banks had 377 branches against 376 as of 1 November and 350 branches of 44 banks as of 1 January 2005, the National bank of Azerbaijan told Trend.

Over November the total statutory capital of the banks grew from 1,173,9bn manats to 1,201,73bn manats or 2.37%, over 2005 the growth comprised only 14.3%. Over November the capital of 41 commercial banks increased from 1,033,9bn manats to 1,061,73bn manats. The capitals of the two state banks remained at 140bn manats. As of 1 December 2005 25,895bn manats fell to 1 private bank.

Over November the total of 17 banks with foreign share increased from 476.4bn manats to 482.13bn manats.
