Ismat Abbasov, the Azerbaijani Agriculture Minister, told Trend that the Agriculture Ministry has held some researches to define the share of diesel fuel in the agriculture production and the results were submitted to the public relevant bodies, including the Cabinet of Ministers, the Ministry of Economic development.
The share of diesel fuel in the output of different products is different, ranging from 1% to 5%. In the cotton production it is rather high comprising 14.5%. The minister informed that the share of diesel fuel in agriculture production is 7.2%.
Abbasov regards the figure not too high amid the reforms implemented in the agrarian sector over the past few years, in particular, the establishment of Agroleasing JSC, as well as agro-technical service centers in the regions. The Minister assured that these centers will render assistance at the prices which were before increase of tariffs of diesel fuel and it will be controlled by relevant public bodies.
