Tax ministry transfers on cashless payments

The Tax ministry is planning to introduce the joint cashier devices and POS-terminals in the service sector at the beneficial price within the frames of the special program, the Tax minister, Fazil Mammedov told at his press-conference on April 12, Trend reports. A special commission has been created in the cashier devices control department of the ministry to deal with the matter.

The POS-terminals installation is conducted within the frames of cashless payments transfer operation; this will allow regulating the cash use and tax evasion cases.

Talks with the National Bank are now held, and after the devices will be approved by the Standardization and Certification agency installation will start.

Minister has also mentioned about the lack of interest in POS-terminals installation among the trade facilities owners and some other entrepreneurs.

In general, the government has defined the list of objects where the PO-Terminals can be installed. The major criteria are a turnover; which should not be less than 5 million AZM a month. They will be installed in hotels, places of air and railway tickets sale, entertainment objects.
