Head of State Veterinary Service of Azerbaijan Ismail Gasanov met with WBs international veterinary expert Peter Murhaus. Veterinary service officials told Trend that the sides talked of drawing the program of epidemiological sector upgrade and establishing private veterinary agencies under the second stage of В"Development and crediting of agricultureВ" project. The program will incorporate establishment of epidemiological group, raising the skill of local experts, upgrade of disease register, etc.
During his visit to Azerbaijan, the expert will attend veterinary institutions and zonal labs in some regions of the country and familiarize with their operation conditions in order to adjust the program.
Approximate cost of the program under the second stage of the project is $43mln.
