39m EURO provided by German-Azerbaijani fund

The German-Azerbaijani fund` s (GAF) loan portfolio reached 10, 875m EURO in credits this year, the fund told Trend. 39.136m EURO in 6,293 credits have been provided by GAF since the time it first began its activity in 2000; 80% of all credits were provided in the last 2 years. 40% of credits were provided in 2005 with the total share of 1, 6% of expired credits.

21% of credits were allocated to finance industrial projects, 66%- are trade credits, 11%- services and 2% agriculture. Credits covered all regions of the country, though 74% of credits were provided for Baku, 12% -for Ganja, 7% -Sumgayit, 4%- northern regions, 2% -Shirvan zone and 1% for South region.

Most part of credits (77, 4%) provided for a term from 6 to 12 months, 18, 8 %- from 1 -2 years. 47% of all loan takers took credits from 15 to 50.000 EURO, 44%- less than 15.000 EURO, 9%- more than 50.000 EURO. 69% of all loan takers were new clients of GAF.

All financing is done via the KFW German bank for reconstruction. KFW provided 8, 7m EURO to GAF from 1999. All credits were adopted and financing is done via revolver accounts.

Bank of Baku and UniBank became GAF partners from March 200, Parabank and Respublica bank from January 2003 and Azerdemiryolbank and Azerigazbank from September 2004.
