WB's new representative to Azerbaijan to commence work by July

The World Bank notified Azeri government in written that Gregory Yedgeichak has been appointed the country manager, Trend reports quoting employees of WBs Baku office. He will be officially introduced to Azeri officials immediately prior to commencing work, in late June. His authority will last 3 years.

WBs employees said Yedgeichak has a country manager experience acquired in Ukraine, where he worked from 1998 to 2003. From 2003 up to appointment to Azerbaijan, he worked as a WBs senior economist for EMEA. Yedgeichak, 55, is married.

From July 2005 WBs Baku office was left without a head as 4-year authority of former country manager Ahmed Jahani has expired.
